3/16,17 王俊傑による ARTIST TALK&WORKSHOP

3月16日から２日間にかけて、アーティスト・イン・レジデンス事業の招聘作家の王俊傑による、
滞在制作、出品作品に関するトークとワークショップを開催します。

１６日は、王俊傑自身による過去の作品解説をはじめ、台湾コンテンポラリーアートセンター立ち上げにいたるまでの経緯など２時間たっぷりのトークショーです。17日のワークショップでは、王俊傑が参加者とともに、3331と台湾コンテンポラリーアートセンターの今後のあり方についての参加型ディスカッションを行う予定です。どちらも台湾アートセンター東京支部（1F ギャラリーB）にて開催しますので、ぜひお越しください。

王俊傑（ワン・ジュンジェ）は、90年代初頭より、ニューメディアおよび大型マルチメディア・インスタレーション作品の発表をしています。代表作には、ヴァーチャルな商品という設定を用い、消費社会について批評的対話を誘発するかのような作品があります。今回は、これまでの作品を紹介とともに、東京支部と銘打った本プロジェクトの背景にあるコンセプトについてお話します。

台北と東京の文化的交換のためのプラットフォームとして機能すること以外に、文化スペースが存在することの意味について対話を喚起することこそ、「台北コンテンポラリーアートセンター（東京支部）探険プロジェクト2010」の中心的主題です。自己のアイデンティティを表現するかのような文化スペースやプロジェクトというものが、このワークショップのディスカッション中も形成されることでしょう。

A presentation by the guest artist participating in the artist in residency program, introducing the work produced during their residency along with other projects, accompanied by a workshop.

artist talk:
WANG Jun-Jieh starts making new media and large-scale multimedia installation works since the early 90s. Especially, he employs the form of virtual merchandise to bring up the discussion on the consumer society.
Here he is going to introduce his works and the particular concept behind this "Tokyo Branch"project.

workshop:
Besides functioning as a platform for the cultural interchange between Taipei and Tokyo, the main purpose of [Taipei Contemporary Art Center (Tokyo Branch) - Explorers Project, 2010] it to evoke the discussion on the meanings of the existence of the cultural spaces.
In this workshop, the cultural space and project, which can represent the self-identity, will be shaped up throughout the discussion.
